Our founder, Graham Upton presented at the Child Care Concepts Business Matters workshops in Brisbane and Sydney on the 11th and 23rd October last year. The audiences were informed of the various ways to make items like shade covers, slides and sand pits depreciate where they are related to this specific industry. Graham cleverly incorporated pictures of his two grandchildren and used different configurations of child care centres which ranged from a heritage listed church to an old flour mill, to lighten the topic of taxable deductions.
Depreciation what is it?
Depreciation is a periodic charge against revenue for assets with a limited useful life. It is a deduction from the value of plant during a year of income for the purpose of producing assessable income. Graham explained about the differences between Division 40 & 43 and tax legislation in a fun and engaging way. He shared his knowledge with all and helped educate them all on what they can depreciate within their businesses. A great day was had by all and PEP Solutions was glad to be invited to be one of the presenters at both events.
